Memory as an image, not always an image that involves you but one that transcends the boundaries of its media.
Deane James Leith is an emerging Scottish artist currently based in Reading on the outskirts of London. After completing his master’s degree in Contemporary Art, at the Edinburgh College of Art he has moved his artistic pursuits south. Leith has exhibited throughout his homeland of Scotland as well as internationally from Germany to Macedonia. His vast array of oil paintings and sculptural works challenge ideas of love and loss. Through the exploration of his own personal relationships, cinema and art history he comes to better understand these historically deep themes that run throughout western and eastern culture. He explains his work as the chase to capture singular moments in time and conjure them tangible for all to see.
